First let me start by stating that this was my 10th cruise, along with my husband. This was our daughter's 3rd cruise. Having sailed on RCI 6 times, twice on Celebrity and twice on Carnival. We have only had 2 cruises that were not up to par - this was a Celebrity Christmas cruise on the Millennium and unfortunately this time around too on the Enchantment. We have sailed a Transatlantic on the X Constellation, then all other Caribbean cruises on X Millennium, Carnival Valor, Carnival Fascination, Adventure of the Seas, Jewel of the Seas, Grandeur of the Seas, Sovereign of the Seas, Enchantment of the Seas (pre-stretch) and this cruise (post-stretch on the Enchantment).

Pre-cruise and Flight We flew into FLL on Saturday morning via Air Tran. Great flight!! I highly recommend Air Tran. We then called for our shuttle to our hotel, The Hyatt Place. We haven't been there since they started remodeling from Amerisuites. The hotel is supposed to be finished in January, I believe. The lobby area was under construction, but was near completion when we got up the next morning to exit the hotel. Very pretty!! Great rooms - 42 inch flat panel TV, comfy beds, huge sectional sofa with great pillows, granite counter top in kitchen, etc. Just lovely! That late afternoon, we went to the Harbor Shops (which is literally right across the way from the hotel - we discovered this after walking a few blocks around the corner). We first visited Total Wine. WOW!! What a great place - such a nice selection of beers, wines and liquors. Then, we walked down to RJ Gators for a late lunch/early dinner. We had a great meal (burger, Key West platter and mac & cheese along with gator bites). Great food! We enjoyed our meal and were off to a relaxing start to our vacation. I need to add that my hubby made a trip over to Publix the next morning for a few things and loved it.

Embarkation This was a pretty simple process. However, I need to add that the Sheriff's department and the cruise port/RCI people don't communicate well. We had a stroller and were looking for an elevator and they direct to 2 different places. The Sheriff said to go in one direction which interrupted the cruise port security and was not good. So, we turned around, folded up the stroller and went up the escalator. Other than that, no issues.
