This was our 17th cruise and overall it ranks as one of the best! Our travel agent encouraged us to book a promenade view room and boy was he right. It was so cool to look out the window and watch others shop during the day and then enjoy the parades at night. The ship is just lovely everywhere....and since it was December the Christmas decorations just added that much more to the feast for our eyes. Getting about on the ship is very easy...no half decks to worry about. The elevators were always easy to get on and although the ship was full we never had to wait long at all. The 3 story dining room is way beyond just beautiful...it was glamorous. We had a table by the railing on the 2nd level and enjoyed the view of other tables and the fabulous chandeliers. But the best part was the food...best lobster I've ever had (and I dive for my own). Not 1 item had to be returned or passed over...all courses were delicious. The service was prompt and courteous and you felt everyone from the head chef to the busboy wanted each mealtime experience to be the best possible...and they were! The Voyager class ships have so many highlights that must be seen to believe, such as: the Royal Promenade-it is the core of activity inside the ship and is reason enough to book the cruise; the ice skating show was Las Vegas style entertainment and my favorite of all the shows; the rock climbing wall is fun to climb, and just as entertaining to hang out at and watch while enjoying a drink; Johhny Rockets is a nice change for lunch and worth the small extra fee; the workout room has state of the art equipment with a great location for just gazing out at the sea while working off those calories; there is a spot where you can view the inside of the bridge...very nice RCI...now we know someone really does control the vessel; and one of my most favorite spots...you can actually stand at the very front of the bow, ala "I'm the king of the world", my wife and I enjoyed standing there late one evening under a sky full of radiant stars. Our itinerary took us to Cozumel and Belize. Snorkeling the reef at Palancar in Cozumel is the best. Great sights, easy swimming, and worth the trip. In Belize we did the "jungle river tubing", kinda subdued but a full and rewarding day in the jungle with a pretty good lunch. On previous trips we did the cave tubing and it still ranks as a very unique and enjoyable experience...give it a try! To summarize this is a grand ship and a great cruise....go if you can !!!
