Norwegian Spirit 11/25/07 Review

Embarkation. We arrived at the Jules Cruise Port Terminal at around 11:30am. I would consider this for NCL just a bit too early. We breezed through the security screening, but that is were it went downhill. We are Latitudes members, but found the line almost equal to the main line. It took about 30-45 minutes to move through. After that it, was minutes before the ship was boarding. I would recommend not arriving at the port till after 12, you will breeze through. We were able to sneak into our cabin and drop off our baggage, not always the case since they don't open the cabins up till 2:00pm. Cabin: The Cabin was nice, we had a balcony 11022, which is forward, port side. The bathroom has a nice layout, a shower with a sliding door, and a toilet with a sliding door. If you are a person of any large frame/size, you will have a problem with the toilet area, since it is small, and no turning around room. The cabin has a sliding door closet with plenty of space for hanging items, but is very lacking in drawers. You have 4 under the TV section. There is a small writing table/desk with one drawer, one small night table, and a small movable table. The couch is convertible to a bed, but is terrible to sleep on. Plus you have no privacy between beds at all. Its like three beds put together. Much prefer the ceiling pull down bed. There was myself, my wife, and my youngest 15 year old son, so we were very cramped. For Two people this cabin would be fine. Only one 115 volt outlet in the room, and it only supports 500 Watts, so NO hair dryers, you will take out a few cabins power. We knew about this before hand, and did bring a Converter with a small power strip to charge all the goodies. Problem was we had no place to put them, you really are lacking in table top/desk space. The balcony has two chairs, and a small table, all well built, not the plastic ones you find on carnival.
