Summary: We enjoyed our cruise. It was overall a positive experience with minor hiccups, will probably cruise with NCL again depending on the itinerary and the price.

Background: Husband and I had cruise over 7 times before, across different cruise lines: Carnival, Holland America, Princess and NCL. This was our 8th cruise, third times with NCL, therefore, we are very familiar with the freestyle concept and we absolutely love it.

Pre-cruise: We flew into Barcelona three days before the embarkation date. Overall impression of the city was good with lovely architectures, and good food (tapas and paella). We stayed somewhere near Arc del Triomf, and used taxi to travel everywhere. Some places we went and their ratings: § Las Ramblas - B+, a lot to see, shops, markets (the juice was heavenly), outdoor cafes, artists... § Sagrada Familiar - A+, Gaudi is a genius, we ascended in the old part (the back, with less people on line to go up, 2 Euro) and walked the spiral staircase down, and it's not for the faint of heart... § La Pedrera - A-, we enjoyed the terrace immensely, love the view as well. § Barri Gotic - A-, lovely old street with the Cathedral. We took a walking tour from the tourism office; we enjoyed the history and the sights.
