My husband and I and our 4 children ages 8, 11, 12 and 14 thoroughly enjoyed our cruise on the Explorer of the Seas from Cape Liberty, New Jersey to the Caribbean for 9 days.

We drove on Thursday evening from Ontario, Canada to Buffalo, New York and spent the night at the Sleep Inn beside the airport. They offered a room with Park & Fly for $102. Our cars could stay at their off-site parking lot for the entire length of the cruise and the hotel provided a quick and easy shuttle service to and from the airport. We flew with Delta to JFK on Friday morning and easily got a cab (van) that fit all of us and our immense amount of luggage to take us to Cape Liberty for $120 plus a tip. The line-up to drop people off from their cars/cabs/limos and buses was extremely disorganized and frustrating. Apparently, there a been a power outage in the terminal and this delayed the process. It still seems very small for the amount people and traffic that need to get through.

Getting on the ship from Cape Liberty was very easy, especially when you have a suite booked (priority check-in) and have done the online Sea Pass.
