We booked this cruise through an internet agency in June, to celebrate my wife's birthday(11/25). After booking, our daughter decided to use the same week for her honeymoon, and our other daughter decided to join us too. We e-mailed a couple of our friends that we had met on previous cruises, and they(Bob, and Don & Laurie) decided to join us too. So, we had a group of nine for the trip.

Pre-Cruise Stay: We booked the Hampton Inn, in Plantation, Florida for our stay on Friday the 23rd. We were allowed to keep our car there for the week, at no additional charge. Room rate was $119. The hotel is about a twenty-minute ride to the port, and they also provided a free shuttle to and from the cruise port. Everything about this hotel was top notch, from the service to the hotel itself. There was a nice breakfast in the morning, and within walking distance of a mall and several restaurants. We will definitely use this hotel again if we cruise from FLL again, and I'm sure we will. Read more
