Sail Date: Nov 2007
Cabin: Mid-Ship Balcony

Keeping in mind that a cruisecritic member that I met on board noted that many people only focus on the negatives, I'll try to include some of the many positives here.

Embarkation: Fast, efficient, very little waiting.

Cabin: Balcony room felt small, and an elevator conversation backed up that idea. We both compared to the Golden Princess, and decided that the slightly older Sun just didn't feel as roomy. The aft balcony also was small, since the rear of the boat slopes outwards... so the railing for the balcony is actually recessed into the balcony, taking away at least 2-3 feet of depth. Further, the railing was a solid plate, rather than simple thin metal bars, which further took away from any spacious feel. There was no dining table on the balcony, only a small end-table for placing drinks. Meals were difficult to enjoy out there.
