We flew into San Juan 1 day early. We stayed at the Sheraton OSJ. The hotel was great but pricey. I have read that alot of people get good rates on this hotel through priceline but we went through cheap tickets and did not get a good rate, about 240.00 with all the taxes.

Embarkation-We arrived at the terminal about 11:15 and were checked in within minutes. You can buy alcohol at the duty free shop and put it in your carry-on and take it on the ship. We were given a zone 1 boarding pass. They board Platinum, VIP,wheelchair first then start calling zones. They didn't start boarding until 1:00 and by that time the check-in line was getting long and there was no more seating left in the waiting to board area. We were in the first zone to board and were on Lido deck by 1:15. At 2:30 we checked on our cabin and it was ready and our luggage was already there. They were still delivering luggage when we went to muster drill at 9:30.

Muster Drill-I was really dreading this after reading the reviews about the muster drills on the Destiny. This drill went relatively smooth, not bad at all. The biggest holdup was the stragglers. We completed the muster drill, took life jackets back to cabin and were on Lido deck a little after 10:00 for the sail away party.
