We are a over 60 couple and this was our 15th cruise, 5 with Carnival , 1 with Premier, and 8 with RCCL. This was our first with Princess line. We drove to the port of San Diego and the couple we were meeting flew in. As there is no parking at San Diego terminal, we dropped them off before taking car to a parking lot. It was very hectic, there was no just dropping them and luggage off like other ports. We had to park some distance away and carry luggage to the handlers. When my wife and I returned later on the shuttle it did go much smoother. BOARD LATER IN SAN DIEGO! Once inside the terminal everything went pretty fast.
Our Balcony cabin was smaller than RCCL. Cabin attendant was very good, no towel animals, my wife asked why and he said "only for children".
Our wait staff in the dining room was very good. My wife has special diet needs and the head waiter went over the next days menu with her every night to make substitutions if necessary.
