My husband and I decided to getaway this anniversary, first getaway in 7 years and really our first time traveling together for this long with out kids. We are both young 25 and 27 however by the end of the trip we probably would have preferred another couple to have come along.
EMBARKATION - We had my mom drop us off around 12:00 Monday 11/12/07 since parking is quite expensive and since we live about 20 min. away we would be crazy not to. Embarking took no time, stood in first line for about 10 min. went through security and in another line for about 20 more min. One bit of advise remember your birth certif. if you don't have your passport. I for some reason thought I would be fine with just my I.D. she let me through but just told me not to get sick or get left behind on the boat. I thought greaaatt!! Going on a boat to a foreign country oh and by the way don't get sick or left behind. So I didn't let that get me down. We took pictures every step the first shot of the boat through the glass to the ramp then the heeps of luggage down below.
STATEROOM - We had..I must say the best room well it wasn't a balcony but the location was perfect right on the Empress level which is the main deck first level where the information desk is and where you first walk onto the boat. Then our room was right at the front of the boat which my husband was pleased about since the front usually isn't as rocky as the back of the boat. So we were excited. A lot larger than people had prepared me for. Our bathroom was huge. I had these horror stories of the shower being right over the toilet. But you could literally lay on that bathroom floor..not that we did. I was completely pleased not confining at all.
