Just back from 7-day Serenade of the Seas Southern Caribbean cruise out of San Juan. Was my 8th cruise, all with RCCL, and my first with a balcony. Will never go back to interior. Travelled with two other couples.

TRAVEL: US Air from Philadelphia, 3 1/2 hours and could not be smoother. Arrived at 12:15 and had luggage, took cab ride (31.50) for all, and was in hotel by 1:30. HOTEL: Stayed at Hotel Milano in Old San Juan, $135.00 per night, queen. Rooftop bar was closed due to food festival being held that night. Streets were closed off and venders were selling food, drinks, outside. Bands playing every block. Was great.

Took ferry (.$50) across bay and $3.00 cab ride to Bacardi plant. Had nice tour, and couple of free drinks. Not bad for $7.00 roundtrip.
