My wife and I took this cruise after spending almost two weeks in Rome and Positano. We had cruised the Med before and had a high expectation for this cruise. That expectation was exceeded by the crew of the Legend. We had met several people on the Cruise Critic boards prior to the cruise and had made plans to travel with them at various ports of call.

EMBARKATION: Embarkation was extremely easy. We stayed at a hotel several blocks from the port in Civitavecchia and walked to the port (5 minutes). A bus picked us up there an took us to the ship. We dropped off out bags and were on board about ten minutes later. We did the usual walk around the ship for about an hour at which time our cabin was available. Bags arrived before the muster drill. I will embarkation were this well organized everywhere.

SHIP: The ship is in great shape. We have been on Voyager and Radiance class ships before and really liked this size ship. Nothing was ever crowded. No waits at the elevator, even after returning from a port. We had picked an aft cabin and it was in great shape. It is nice standing on the balcony with no wind, watching the ship's wake. Very relaxing. The gym was smaller than we had seen before on a ship, but the Spa seemed larger than expected. Bars were good throughout the ship. I particularly liked the bar at the pool - big and fast service. Only possible issue was slow internet access a few days, but so what!
