This Cruise is best for those who want to Island hop Hawaiian Islands. It is not recommended for the well known food cruises or the loads of fun and entertainment type programs. There are some of these programs and most are well designed and run. We signed up to visit the various ports and explore the Islands.

With that said, we basically enjoyed our time on the Pride of America and accomplished our goal in exploration. We liked Maui and Kauai the best.

The ship is cold but we turned up the thermostat in our balcony cabin and enjoyed the warmer climate there. We met Captain David Turner and it was explained to us that the ship is kept cool to help keep the germs at bay. Not a bad point but it was uncomfortable. All the public areas were cold and you could only escape it if you went outside or stayed in the cabin. Bring a sweater, light coat or fall attire to survive.
