EMBARKATION: ...was a breeze! We took a cab from Miami International Airport ($24 flat rate). The cab dropped us off at the luggage area. Our luggage was immediately tagged and taken, and we were pointed to the entry door. The total time from port to ship was less than 30 minutes. Everyone was very friendly, and security was quick. As soon as we got on the ship (about 1:30), there was an announcement that the staterooms were ready. Our luggage was all delivered to our stateroom by 3:00. The safety drill was smooth.

STATEROOM: We had a balcony room on the 10th deck. We were impressed with the size. We expected it to be small, of course, but it was definitely adequate for 2 people. It would have been cramped for 3 people, though. One thing we noticed was that we didn't need the power strip we had packed. There were 3 outlets in the cabin, more than enough for us. The bathroom was small, but again adequate for us. We loved having a balcony.

FOOD: We ate at the Garden Cafe (free buffet) for every breakfast and a couple of lunches. We liked the selection, and the food was good. I couldn't pass up the smoked salmon and cream cheese bagel for breakfast, and my DH loved the french toast. At lunch, he LOVED the chilled soups. He said they tasted like liquid milkshakes!
