I have cruised with Royal Caribbean many times and have enjoyed each experience. However, this last cruise aboard the Adventure of the Seas was disappointing. I traveled with a huge group of family and friends on the 28th of October sailing. My husband and I stayed in a junior suite. The room was fantastic and the room steward, Jennifer, was a dream!

The ship overall was nice but the food was below average and the drink prices were totally over the top. I mean, $8.75 for a margarita? Like I said before, I have cruised with this line and this time, the increase in drink prices was quite obvious. Back to the food: the dining room dinner cuisine was like of Bennigan's. One night, the little scallops in my lemongrass soup seemed fake and odd. I ended up just having the broth. The risotto with the grilled vegetables was over-salted and overcooked. My husband, mother-in-law, and brother-in-law, were all in agreement with the lack of taste and quality regarding the food.

The pizza on the promenade deck was all bready and chewy. There was no crisp crust like I have experienced on other cruises. The in-room breakfast menu was an absolute joke. The in-room menu listed omelets but when my husband tried to order one, he was told that they were no longer available. Why? Moreover, all that was available was weird-tasting scrambled eggs (scooped into a ball), sausage, bacon, yogurt, fruit and cereal. There was coffee and juice but that was about it. Nothing else. Sad.
