Oct. 14, 07 NYC-NYC via New England and Canada. This was my 15th cruise and my 1st on NCL. We are not picky eaters but would like hot food at least warm and cold food at least chilled. I must say the food was absolutely terrible, especially in the Cafe for breakfast. Cold - eggs, toast, french toast, bacon, sausage, biscuits, etc. Hot - melons, salmon, fruit salad, etc. THEY MIGHT WANT TO TRY AND REVERSE THE PROCESS. The pay to eat places were not bad but shouldn't that be the norm for the entire ship? They say they cater to folks with allergies,my wife has celiac disease and can't eat food with gluten(wheat, bread etc) she informed the waiter and he assured her that what she was ordering was gluten free, he might want to look up celiac disease, she got violently sick within minutes of eating. I couldn't wait to get ashore so we could get something to eat(even went to McDonalds in Sydney) Believe it or not I lost 8 lbs. on this trip. I am going to write a new diet book, THE NORWEGIAN DAWN DIET.

NOROVIRUS- This is a gatro-intestinal virus. They informed us on Tues. the ship had quarantined 10% of the passengers and crew, some folks even had to leave the ship. NCL seems to have a problem with this virus as I have read reviews about other trips and they have the same problem.

Cabin Service- On the 15th I asked the cabin steward to replace all of the drinks in the fridge with diet coke as that is all we drink, he finally complied on the 24th. The cabins were not cleaned that well and the beds were very uncomfortable, probably because of the 3 inch mattress that we slept on. On the 22nd they took our bed spreads away and never returned them, I was told they were being disinfected because of the NOROVIRUS and we were not going to get them back. I had to ask for blankets several times,(go figure, North Atlantic in October) finally got them on the 25th. Several times there was only 1 towel. Entertainment- Great. The lady comedian Patty ?? was not that funny,(Rose Ann Bahr , Rosie O'Donnell like), the rest was good. Fire and Ice are absolutely wonderful. Los Tres Pilotos were very entertaining as well. The musical impressionists were hilarious. I did not catch the acrobats but people were raving about them. Plenty to do and show times were good.
