My husband and I took Caribbean Princess out of Fort Lauderdale on 10/14/07, and it was fantastic. As our member name shows we have never cruised before and boy were we in for a shock. The ship was huge... couldn't believe that was going to be our home for the next 7 days and nights. We arrived the night before and stayed at the Sheraton Yankee Clipper. Our room was a few feet from the beach, but since we arrived late at night we did not venture out. We arrive at the port at about 11:30 or qtr til. We were on the ship and in our room by 12:20 the latest. We dropped our carryons, booked my salon appts for the formal nights, then ran up and ate lunch in the Horizon Court. Yummy! We walked around and checked out the ship for about and hour or so then went back to our room to call some cruise critic friends to see if they were in there room, and our luggage was already at our room. We unpacked, met our friends then went to the outrigger bar for our cruise critic meet and greets. Everyone was so nice it was great.

Dinner- Oh my god, it was great. We had first seating in the Island dinning room. Our waiters were wonderful...pulled out my chair, laid he napkin in my lap. I am a picky eater and they catered very well. No problem they say and he remembers each night. My husband asked for no prawns and just a lobster tail, they gave him 3 tails.....it was amazing he says, best ever. We ordered several appetizers, combined entrees and a couple desserts on one night. No problem, they brought them all with a smile. We were done in plenty of time to get out and enjoy the shows.

Shows- Loved the comedians, and the Caliente dance/singing show on the 2nd formal night. We watched the movies under the stars which was just amazing that you could see it from anywhere on that area and all day long. Played some bingo, almost won. Visited the casino on the non-smoking night and walked away with a win of $19....not much but better than losing it all.
