I'll start by saying. This was our first cruise so we didn't know what to expect. We arrived at the terminal after the fire alarm and the line went smoothly and check in was painless. Our cabin was on the Riviera deck. Overall the cabin appearance was rather small and unimpressive. Accommodations were equivalent to a Motel 6. Being "cruise virgins", we had nothing to compare it to. The wait staff looked tired but most were friendly. They work these poor people like dogs and treat them as such. Our cabin steward was fantastic!! Definitely went out of his way to make us comfortable. He knew we were late risers so he would not enter our room until after 11. The ship itself was nice. The pools were great and there was lots of room to explore and quiet places to people watch. The aft pool became our favorite evening spot. No children allowed and a bar nearby. Who could want anything else. The shopping area was unimpressive. The stores had your typical tourist wares. I passed on the Princess collar and water bowl. The casino was large and the staff hospitable. Hats off to James and MJ!! They were the most entertaining Blackjack dealers on the ship. One dealer couldn't count and was taking my chips when I had 20 and she was showing 19? Dining was good. We had anytime dining and had no trouble getting seated no matter what time we went. We dined in all of the dining rooms and the buffet (trough). Don't worry if you missed the dinner at the buffet, because it was in the scrambled eggs the next morning. Unlimited seafood buffet at night morphed into eggs with crab and shrimp for breakfast the next morning. On Sunday you could get eggs, baked beans and fries!! If you're not a "trough feeder" the dining rooms will meet your needs. We definitely recommend Sabatini's. The food and service was the best we experienced and well worth the extra charge. The entertainment was mediocre. The comedians were good except for an adult comedian whose show as just vulgar and not that funny. We left halfway through. Our first stop was Weds in St Maarten. There were great deals to be had so we did lots of shopping in the morning. In the afternoon, we took a ride over to Orient beach on the French side. It was paradise and soo relaxing. St Thomas shopping on the other hand was a day spent dodging pushy retailers trying to pull us into their stores. We lasted an hour and retreated back to the sanctity of the ship. Princess Cays was rather unimpressive. We rented floats which were slimy and we had to drag them to our chairs. The beach was rocky. Water shoes are a must!! Back to FLL on Sunday and disembarkation was painless and we were at the airport in no time. I'll end by saying this was our last cruise. For the money, we'd much rather spend a week in an all inclusive.
