My wife and I had a horrible experience on carnival 7 years ago but decided to give it another chance and it was a great decision. We were traveling with another couple with all travelers being in their early thirties. Our ship left on Sunday and we arrived in Miami and spent the day on the Saturday before cruising. We made our way to the terminal to see how things were layed out and ran into a nice gentleman that told us to bring our bags around 8 am on Sunday and then come back around 11:30 and we would be able to get on the ship without the hassle of all of the crowds. We did exactly that and it worked out great.

Embarkation: We arrived around 11:30 and walked into the building and since we had purchased suites it automatically gives you VIP status so we were taken to a secluded room away from any crowds and completed all the necessary steps to board the ship. 15 minutes at the most and we were on the ship eating lunch. Rooms are not ready this early but you can walk around the ship until 1:30 when your room is available. Staff treated us like royalty.

Room: We arrived at our suite and there was plenty of room. Very clean and well maintained. I will never book again and not get a suite it is well worth the extra cost.
