This was our second cruise with Carnival. Last year about the exact time we went on Carnival Conquest.

Background: Flew in night before from Dallas and stayed at the Downtown Radisson. Our room was in very bad need of renovation but the common areas of the hotel were very nice. Our room did overlook the port so it was pretty cool waking up Saturday morning and seeing our ship waiting for us! The surrounding area was terrible so had to stay within confines of hotel but seeing that we got in so late that was no problem

Embarkation: UNBELIEVABLE! Compared to Galveston I was shocked. We got to the port at 10:30 and I was having my buffet lunch at 11:00!!! Everyone I spoke with had the same experience. Read more
