We arrived in Tampa on Saturday before starting our cruise on Sunday. We stayed at the Best Western next to Busch Gardens. They were in the middle of remodeling, so it wasn't the best nights stay. We left for the cruise ship around 10 am and arrived around 10:30 to board. They weren't letting anyone in the terminal until 11. They were having a wedding on board so anyone in the wedding party were let in early. The time went by very quickly and our wait time in the terminal was less than 30 min. Everyone was asked not to go to their cabin until 1:30 and most everyone stayed on the lido deck until that time. It was the only time it really seemed crowded on the lido deck. The roll call muster went very well fro us as we were watching the Colts football game on tv and waited till the last minute to go out. This kept us in the front row and not outside very long. Last year we were one of the first ones out and my wife was sick the rest of the day from the heat. We left right on time just as soon as the roll call was over, and proceeded to dinner since we had the early seating. Our waiter and waitress Raguh and Olga were wonderful from day one. I always like milk with my meal and after day one Olga made sure I had two glasses waiting for me every night. Yes the melting chocolate cake is to die for and we had it every night.. We got a little concerned about our luggage since it was all delivered early except my wifes one bag with most of her clothes. It arrived around 8 with no problem. Monday was a sea day and since we had nothing else to do my wife and I decided to enter the slot tournament. It cost $20 pp and I think well worth the price since I won and collected $500. Tuesday was Grand Cayman and we decided to try our luck with the stingrays. If you book with the ship your boat is the first one to get to the spot with all of the rays. After about 30 minutes it gets very crowded with other boats and tons of people. Wednesday was our wonderful Isle of Passion just the same as last year.... There isn't a prettier beach anywhere in Mexico than the Isle. It is where the Corona beer commercials are filmed and there is plenty of it flowing while you are on the beach. They serve a wonderful lunch and exotic drinks as well. Wednesday night when we were on the way again my wife and I decided to try our luck at the casino. I had $20 which I played on the $1 wheel of fortune machine. When I left I had a total of $1118. for my $20. The only issue I had was when I tried to load it down on my card it wouldn't load so I had to get a slot attendant to fill out a paper for me to take to the cashier. I at once went to the cabin and retrieved my Monday winnings and my new winnings and paid off my sign and sail card for the week. So in reality we cruised for free. The issue I had came up later in the evening with the slot attendant. He came up to me when no one else was around and demanded at least a $20 tip. He said he only made $800 a month and I should give him some money! I told him I had already paid off my card and had no extra cash on me.He told me he would be waiting for it before the week was out. Every day after that he kept watching me waiting for me to tip him . On the last night he approached me again, and again demanded money. I told him the cruise wasn't over yet I still had time to tip him even though I wasn't planning on it. I am a senior citizen and I felt very intimidated and threatened by this mans behavior. This was the only bad part of the cruise as everyone else was very very friendly Thursday we went deep sea fishing and I was the only one that caught any fish worth keeping. On Friday we were in Honduras. This is very beautiful, but also very poor and very dirty. It makes you appreciate what you have at home. Saturday we came back on the outer bands of a tropical storm. So everyone was jammed inside and had no last minute for sunning or swimming. They told us many many times they wanted to hear about our comments about our cruise. I took this time to tell them on their comment card about my problem with the casino. I guess they really don't want to know as I have been back 30 day and haven't even received a form letter from Carnival. This cruise was very enjoyable except for the casino part and we would sail on carnival again....
