We live in southwest Florida, so we had a 3 hr. drive to the Port of Miami. Parking and check in was a breeze. We arrived at about noon. There were already a load of people waiting for entry into the ship. We were waiting for others in our party to arrive so we just had a cup of coffee while we waited. Once on the ship, we went to our rooms and found our luggage had already arrived! Wow, we were impressed.

We booked a room on the Promenade 7th floor. Although the cabin was slightly smaller than a normal inside we were happy with our choice. The new bedding is wonderful. We had an extra windowseat which was nice to sit and people watch or just read a book. (the window is big.) We have traveled on RCI 4 other times,on Majesty, Brilliance, and twice on Navigator. Freedom is a stretched version of Navigator (Voyager Class)with some twists.

The ship is big and beautiful. Artwork galore. The Promenade has the usual shops and then an along with the Promenade Cafe an extra Italian cafe with snacks or little lunches.
