My 14 year old daughter and I very much enjoyed our Sensation Cruise. My daughter observed however, Sensation's interior had a very "80's" appeal. That is the style, colors and decor was outdated. If you are looking for a cruise that is classy in all ways, this would not be the one to choose. If you are looking for fun and don't really care that the ship shows it's age, you won't be disappointed. Getting on and off the ship was no big deal if you are organized, ready and have the right documentation. The staff bend over backwards to facilitate a smooth disembarkation and embarkation. Our room was very clean, but showed it's age. beds were comfortable. Our cabin steward was sweet and outstanding! There was a sewage smell down the hall and I felt sorry for the people who had rooms there. Rarely did hallway or neighboring room noise wake us up. The food was pretty good. Breakfast and lunch buffets had everything we wanted and more. The Pizza was super! Night time dining was awesome. My daughter had steak, prime rib, chicken and shrimp and loved every meal. I had salmon, lobster, turkey and chicken...yummy. We suggest melt away cake and black forest cake for dessert. The dining room experience was exceptional and the "classy" part of our cruise. The two shows we went to were great!!! Great music, set, dancing (I've been to professional Opera, theatre, and dance) and this ranked with the best. My daughter participated in some of the activities with her age group. She made some friends and had fun. There was always something going on somewhere on the ship for us to participate in. Personally, I enjoyed sitting off to the side reading and watching the ocean. The cigarette smoke occasionally (even outside) was sickening. We did the dolphin close encounter in Freeport...phenomenal!!! It was like having a private, in the water showing. It was worth every penny. Freeport, however, not much there other than the shore excursions. Nassau is great. We spent a little over 3 hours at Blackbeards Cay in the ocean with the stingrays..fun. Again, worth every penny. But the shopping in Nassau..WOW. If you like designer purses and fun stuff cheap, make plenty of time to shop. Bring cash, they don't take credit cards in the straw market. We bought Chanel purses cheap. Overall, we had a great cruise. We would suggest Sensation for the fun aspect, it will not appeal at all to you if you want elegant. The crew was always friendly and helpful!!!
