This was our second RCCL cruise and both were to Europe. We were two women in our thirties. We had an interior room on deck 10 which was a perfect location. We were close to the pool and the windjammer cafe. The room was small but comfortable for two people. There were ample hangers in the closet to hang our clothes. There was plenty of storage place as well. We recommend bring a power strip since there are only two outlets and if you have electronics that need to be charged in comes in handy.

We flew delta direct from JFK to Barcelona. The flight was uneventful and was actually one of the best international flights I have been on. We left on time and the service was really good. We flew in the day before the cruise. We took a taxi to our hotel which cost about 25 euro with two suitcases. We arrived at 7:30 so our room was not ready. We changed into shorts and they kept our bags for us and said our room would be ready by one o'clock

We stayed at the Avenida Palace hotel. The room was a good size. The staff was friendly and helpful. It is only a few blocks from las ramblas, the barri gothic quarter, plaza Catalonia, and the gaudi houses. There was some high end shopping too. The hope on and hope off bus was only 2 blocks away. It was a very convenient location. There are several restaurants and cafes with in walking distance. The only real problem was being sept the a/c was not working to full capacity and the room was a little hot at times. We stayed here post cruise for a day too and upon arrival our room was ready at 7:30 am once we were off the ship which was convenient. We would definitely stay at this hotel again
