I took this cruise twice, with two separate sets of friends and loved every minute of it! I was on board from 8/19 until 9/8/07 and had different cabins for each leg. Initial embarkation was fast and easy (though this has not always been my experience). The second embarkation was complicated by having to change rooms. My luggage stayed with the purser for several hours until I could be re-embarked, which could not happen until all previous passengers had been disembarked (after noon).

I have cruised three times previously with Princess on the Dawn and I really like that ship--clean and well maintained. The inside cabins are on the small side, but storage was adequate, and I spend little time in the room. The room stewards were pleasant, efficient, and very helpful. Sailing out of San Francisco is a big plus for us--money goes to more cruises, since we don't have to pay air fares.

While we were wait-listed for traditional early dining on both cruises, staff worked well with us to arrange fixed early seating.
