Embarkation: I arrived at the pier at 11:15am. There was a huge mob of people waiting, and there was a wedding party waiting to board. I settled into my chair ANTICIPATING a long wait, but, I was amazed to find the line moved so quickly that I was already sitting on the Lido deck before 12 noon. Rooms were not available until 2:00pm, but there was plenty of buffet food waiting for us in Horatio's. There was music, the bars were open, Motion, the band, played by one of the pools. This was faster and easier than anything I experienced before. Less than ½ hour from arriving at pier to eating food by the pool. Excellent. Four Stars ****

Stateroom: I was assigned to cabin 4152, a category 5A stateroom with an obstructed view, and french doors that opened to a railing. The cabin was huge, the beds were placed together to form a king size bed. There were four closets, a desk with 4 drawers, a refrigerator minibar, drawers underneath the sofa. It was beautiful. It was immaculate. I was extremely pleased. The bathroom seemed smaller than I had anticipated, but it was roomy enough and larger than some bathrooms I've had in previous apartments I've lived in. Again, it was immaculate. Four Stars ****

DEcor of the ship: From reading the message boards, I was expecting gaudy, flashy, headachy, glitz and glitter. In real life, the ship, although heavily decorated, was absolutely beautiful. I acknowledge that the Mad Hatter's Ballroom was a bit over the top, but it was (wisely) used only for the art auctions. The dining room was gorgeous, Horatio's buffet on the Lido Deck was very pretty. The atrium, the lounges, everything was beautiful. And, again, immaculate. Four Stars ****
