This was our third cruise the first with Princess. Embarkation was a snap these people really have it down. We got into line around 12:30PM and were in our cabin by 1:00PM unbelievable. Cabin: We had a balcony room, the room itself was pretty small but the balcony was huge. We were on the caribe deck so we had about a 5' over hang for privacy, the decks below did not and they were completely exposed. The beds were very comfortable and plenty of closet space. The bathroom is of course very small and the shower seemed smaller than others (unless I just got that much bigger). Food: The buffets were fine and were the dining rooms. The food quality was mediocre some things were excellent and others were some what bland. Sabatinis was awesome the food was very tasty and unique. The open dining option was perhaps the best I have ever seen, eat where you want, when you want and with whom you want. The longest wait we ever experienced for a table for two was 10 minutes. The buffets were a little different from one another each day which isn't always a bad thing but if you are looking for something like say eggs benedict and you know it's on one of the buffets it's a little frustrating trying to find out which one. Service: Maybe because it's nearing the end of the season but in our opinion two out of ten service personnel seemed to want to be there the rest were just there for the ride and paycheck, nothing stellar.

Ports of call: We stopped at St. Maarten, St. Thomas and Princess Cay, anyone that has ever been through the Caribbean knows what the first two are like (time share salesman, jewelry shops, and people offering to braid your hair)Princess Cay was very cool, with soft sand beaches, lot's of water toys, great water and a decent BBQ buffet for lunch. This was our favorite stop. Entertainment: Was OK, kind of cheesy, the opening night the crew sang "cruising in sunshine" which had us in tears we laughed so hard, although we tried not to it was just to cheesy. Overall: We love cruising and will definitely go again but probably with another cruise line. Princess was average, not flashy, and a majority of the cruisers were 50+ so kind of boring, just not for us. We really liked Costa the best so far.
