We just returned from a fabulous journey aboard the Adventure of the Seas to the Southern Caribbean ports of Aruba, Curacao, St. Martin, and St. Thomas. We traveled Sep. 16-23, 2007, and the weather was perfect!

We began our trip with a stay at the San Juan Intercontinental Resort and Casino. The hotel was booked through RCCL and although it was expensive, ($280/night double occupancy) it was very classy. We spent Sunday morning enjoying a delicious buffet breakfast, and then we lounged by the gorgeous pool, complete with rock waterfalls and a pool bar. Finally we noticed that over the boardwalk was the beautiful beach and sea!

We then waited from 12:45 PM to 3 PM in the hotel lobby waiting for a pre-arranged RCCL transfer to the pier. This was the only bad part of the trip--waiting to be picked up for the cruise. We arrived at the pier at 3 PM. The lines were extremely long and we were skeptical, but nevertheless we were in our cabin by 4PM. We settled in and ordered our first drink of the day at the Gravity Sports Bar before taking our first tour of the ship.
