This is a wonderful charming ship. I think however that you get more from other cruise lines. The good. Beautiful ship. For being older, the ship was immaculate. Most of the food in the dining room was good except... one night I ordered the shrimp ravioli. It was average. The next night I ordered the lobster bisque and it was the sauce from the ravioli on the previous night. This "bisque" looked like brown gravy and tasted like lobster, beef gravy, and coconut. The only other issue that I had with the dining room was the shrimp cocktail. When I think of shrimp cocktail, I think of 3-5 large shrimp hanging on the rim of a glass with cocktail sauce. I got 4 salad shrimp with the tails still on, laying in a dish and covered in cocktail sauce. The windjammer was a whole different story. The breakfast was just plain bad. Eggs were way oversalted, bacon was undercooked, sausage was inedible. These are the three main breakfast foods served, yet they couldn't get them right. The windjammer pretty much served the same things everyday. The cranberry mango chilled soup was superb, so why cant they cook a strip of bacon? Just didn't make sense. The windjammer buffet was very much like a golden corral buffet. I can get that at home, I expect better from a cruise ship. Another thing that irked me at the windjammer, was outside where the tables were, if there were 30 tables 15 had people there, and the other 15 were covered with used dishes. Twice I took my food back to my room because the tables were not cleared. The state room with balcony was a very good size. It had tons of storage. The bathroom was a good size. The linens were WONDERFUL! On the TV they played new movies not out yet on dvd which was nice. Blades of glory, oceans 13, POTC 3, and shrek 3. The monday after we left when most of the passengers were sick I am sure this came in handy. Went on 3 excursions in bermuda. The snuba was fantastic, and well worth it. The aquarium and caves tour was great too. Our bus driver took great pride in his country, and was very knowledgeable. The other one we took was the nightlife glassbottom boat tour. It was OK but all you really see are sea cucumbers, and a few fish. ALL in ALL the service was great, the boat was great, the excursions were great, the food was average to bad. I paid more on this ship than you will on other cruise lines that offer more. I would recommend this to someone however I don't think I will be on Royal Caribbean again.
