This was by far my favorite cruise to date (out of 5). The staff on the Destiny were the single most attentive and accommodating cruise staff I've ever had! I just read several other reviews commenting on the ships cleanliness and disappointment in the staff and I have no idea what cruise THEY were on because Destiny ROCKED!!

SAN JUAN: We'd stopped in San Juan on our Triumph cruise and it struck us as somewhere we'd like to see again so we flew red-eye Friday to give ourselves all day Sat and most of Sun to kick around. We booked a private guide through FAIRWAY TOURS which was amazing because our driver Joe met us IN the baggage claim. We also got to see the island from a Denali rather than a taxi cab. Joe was fantastic, full of knowledge and directed us to all the best food and fun spots. We toured El Yunque (the Rainforest) and really maximized our Saturday. Sunday we just sauntered around loving the weather and the open air markets and everything else about San Juan until it was time to get on the boat.

EMBARKATION: We arrived around 3pm and it took us about an hour from taxi to stateroom. It didn't strike me as any more or less efficient than any other port and I loved that my bags were waiting for me when I arrived, we got to settle in and start enjoying right away rather than wait for bags all night (cough, Conquest!) By the end of the first night EVERY ONE of the crew we'd interacted with had asked for and remembered our names. I felt like I had my own private staff!!
