Cruise Critic people! Why didn't you tell us about the cigarette smoke on the ship? And those small men who had to light up their Cuban cigars on the way back from Bermuda. Gross! What, if you say something bad about a cruise, you might get thrown out of the meet and mingle society. It's so corny anyway. We did see a lot of easily entertained people. Did anyone really like Vibeology or was it just, we paid for a cruise and we have to find something to do entertainment? The cigarette smoke was the worst of it. The smoke in the casino and bars was unbearable. Well, people with addictions usually have more than one. The smoke just soaked into our clothes. When we got back to our room we had to put our clothes out on the balcony they smelled so bad. But even the balcony wasn't smoke free. Some guy 2 balconies upwind from us would light up and the smoke would drift onto our balcony. The ship does rock and roll and we had calms seas. My wife was still wobbly 2 days after we got back.

Lets start from the beginning. Embarking was quick and easy. The ship was worn, but who cares, it was very clean. We were surprised at the class of people though.  Evidently Royal Caribbean doesn't enforce the dress code. Come on people, isn't it nice to get dressed up for something other than a funeral? Saw some guys with ear rings and lots of those barbed wire arm band tattoos. LOL. At least there weren't any bald guys with ponytails. The 3 main types of people were the newly weds, the nearly dead and the overfed! The Windjammer food was just O.K. Cookies and soups were very good for some reason. I never did get the pizza special of the day at the Promenade Cafe, they were always out. I'm thinking it never really existed. The dining room food was very good. Our wait staff was out standing. Soren and Loyila. Hated that phoney headwaiter/maitre d', who would make an appearance just so you would remember him at tip time. I'm trying to eat and he's asking me questions. Saw the long line for that midnight buffet and turned right around. Did a 6 hour taxi tour in Bermuda. Excellent. Ask for Ivan from VIP Tours. $50 an hour but worth it.

Looked into signing up the 5 year old for Aquanauts, but it was just a bunch of kids running wild and a lot older than 5. Disney this wasn't.The parents obviously lying their ages to keep siblings together. It was just a dumping ground so the parents could do their own thing. So we did other activities with the kids. Bad water slide. The kids literally had to pull themselves down the slide it was so slow. The ship had lots of kids tying up the elevators by having races on them. Nothing worse than getting in an elevator and having all the buttons pushed. And what's with these people who wait for an elevator just to go down one level. There are stairs everywhere! The ice show was out standing! And I hate ice shows,(men in sequin outfits and all.) The comedian was funny. And if you missed any of the shows you could see it the next day on the ships TV channel. They're constantly selling on this ship. One can't get away from it. Who's buying artwork anyway? We did have a good time.
