The embarkation in Amsterdam went smoothly, we got rid of the luggage very fast and the lines for check-in were not too bad. We had cabin 9000 totally in front of the ship, a nice cabin with enough space to store our clothing. Disadvantage was the noise from the theater when the performances took place we could literally hear every word (and every "boom" from the music). Luckily we knew showtimes in advance, so were sure not to be in the cabin at those times. Because this is a large ship the distances covered were hugh, especially while walking with a crutch. Dinner in the main dining room was fine, good variety in the menu and the meat and fish were very well prepared. The service was excellent.

Communication through the loudspeakers on board was a bit scarce, only before disembarkation and even then not to be heard in the cabin.

The organization of the excursions was a little chaotic, things did not run as smoothly as they could. We went on 2 different ones, the excursion to the Devold sweater factory was a bit of a disappointment. We thought to see the sweaters being made, but it was actually only the outlet to sell the sweaters. The trip from Flam overland to Voss, Tvinde and Stalheim with trains and bus was very nice because the landscape is beautiful and everybody needs to see this. There were a few flaws in the organization, some people were led to believe the guide would speak their specific language (did not happen), changing trains during Flam excursion where whole groups ended up in the wrong wagons, buffet not ready upon arrival in restaurant and then far too many people in the dining room to make it a nice experience. But as said before the landscape is beautiful and made the trip worth it. Dinner in the main dining room was fine, good variety in the menu and the meat and fish were very well prepared. The service was excellent.
