This was our fifth cruise with Princess, and our fourth on the Grand. For the second year in a row we took our two teenaged daughters and their friends. The girls had inside cabins, and we had a balcony cabin. We had a fantastic week even though the ship and itinerary were familiar to us.

Embarkation, as usual was very speedy, and the staff were most helpful and welcoming. It really helps the process if you have all of your paperwork completed and up to date. We arrived at noon and were all aboard about twenty minutes later. I especially love boarding early and reacquainting myself with the ship. There is lunch in the dining room and at Horizon Court.

The food at the buffet is more than satisfactory, and we always have a relaxing lunch and a drink there after boarding. The ship is very sophisticated and meticulously kept. The staff are very pleasant, helpful and professional. The cabins are average in size but well designed in terms of storage space. We had a balcony cabin on the Caribe deck, which provides a deck that is twice the normal size. We loved this. There were two of the chairs which could recline. Several days we spent sunning and relaxing there. The girls had inside cabins, two per cabin and were quite comfortable. They are all in their mid to late teens and met a lot of others their age.
