We just returned from a wonderful week on the Golden with our two teens, and I wanted to write a review because I so much enjoyed reading everyone else's before we left.

We stayed on the Dolphin Deck, a worry to me because of some of the comments here. We loved that deck and would choose it again, it was wonderful to look directly out onto the sea without other balconies in the way. We saw lots of whales and dolphins from our balcony.

The ship was clean and nice, the food good in the dining room, and the staff friendly. My kids made friends with everyone at the front desk and spent hours there joking with them. We ate one night at the Desert Rose Steak House for an extra $15 charge and it was worth it. They had big shrimp cocktails and the filets were great. The rest of the nights we used anytime dining and never had to wait more than a few minutes. Since there were 7 of us we usually had our own table, but shared at times when we didn't all eat together and enjoyed the company.
