Aug. 19-18 sailing - Sold Out sailing with, I believe, 3200 pax on board. Our group consisted of DH & myself (both 52), our 3 kids & 2 friends (22 yr. old, 2 - 20 yr. olds & 2 - 17 yr. olds) and family friends (55, 53 & 17). I've taken approx. 20 cruises, DH around 14 & my kids approx. 12, but this is all our first time on Princess. We live in SW Nassau County on Long Island so the drive to the port took approx. 45 min. to get off the exit of BQE, but once off lot entrance difficult to find due to road detours, one-way streets & someone we asked. We could see the ship....just could not get to it.

Embarkation: It was around 11:15 a.m. when we arrived in front of the terminal and there were quite a few cars for people still being picked up (I believe the ship was late that day). However, once you got curbside, it was all very simple. Easy to drop luggage & get to very large long term parking lot. Cost was around $165. for the 9 days. Lot was never more than ½ filled. Embarkation was organized & trouble free. People working there very pleasant. I did hear from someone that was waiting with a number to be called after us for embarkation that things got a bit chaotic due to them calling larger groups of numbers at one time.

Ship: The ship was beautiful. Elegant dEcor. As others have said, designed with many small areas so it never seemed like many people were on board. However, due to this we found it very difficult to navigate. Some areas could only be reached by going up a floor, crossing the ship & then down again. This is the first cruise where by the end I still was unsure sometimes about where to find an area.
