We walked to the cruise terminal from our hotel, pullmans in tow. The one comment we can offer about the cruise terminal is that THERE ARE NO SIGNS. We crossed the railroad tracks and figured terminal 1 was where we wanted to be. Wrong!! It was for the Norwegian Dream. We and lots of other folks ended up walking down that long service road to the other end of the terminal.
We fought our way against the crowds pouring out. We asked the rep. where the "skippers club" check-in was and were directed to an office in the back. We were the only ones there at that time. What could be easier? Not waiting in lines was fantastic! We went outside after getting our sail and sign cards, and it was a while before the sea caps finished unloading the previous guests luggage. We returned to the embarkation lounge at 12:30 as directed, were escorted to the final waiting are and were placed in row1.
Around 12:40 they started the embarkation. We were right behind the physically challenged passengers, but ended up beating them onto the ship since they had to wait for the elevator. I'll have to say the security is quite vigilant!
