Arrived in Rome on the 10th of August we decided to stay in Civitavecchia as Legend of the seas was leaving from that port stayed in Hotel S.Giorgio, normal hotel, nice staff, used their transport from Rome Fiumicino to the Hotel in Civitavecchia, very good would recommend. Left next morning around 12 to board ship, everything went smoothly. We were a party of 6 and had 3 cabins, same floor and general area. Cabins very clean, good service. Windjammer - good selection, food not bad at all. We had the main seating for dinner - good selection of food, good service, very nice head waiter - "João". We arranged our own shore excursions as we usually do private van for the six of us with driver/guide - all excellent - especially the Amalfi -driver Limousine (Fabrizio) excellent, excellent company. We had a wonderful day seeing Capri and Sorrento. Excellent day in Dubrovnick, again arranged private driver and guide for the whole day we saw countryside and Dubrovnick, would definitely recommend seeing Dubrovnick this way. Very disappointed with Livorno thought it was at least a day and a half, but had a good day with private driver/guide "Carlo" from Rome in Limo, we went to see Lucca, S.gimingnano and Siena, wonderful day. Good day and half in Venice as well. Very, very disappointed with Portofino. Not enough communication from staff or captain, we were supposed to anchor off Portofino but some lame excuse about the weather (next day bright, sunny and hot) we ended up in Genoa without any warning no help from any staff to get us to Portofino, if we wanted to see Portofino we had to pay for it our selves as we did Got a taxi outside of Genoa port and for only 200 euros for the 6 of us we saw - Sta. Margharita and Portofino ended up having a very nice day despite of RCCL - big disappointment for the end of trip. Another problem on board this was the first time we encountered out of control children and teenagers running all over the place from morning until night (late). TOO MANY SEA DAYS!! RCCL work on your communication skills! All in all good cruise.
