Fascination August 20-24

Monday: Embarkation in Miami went fairly smooth. We were dropped off at the port around 12:15pm. (Private Car) upon arrival we were handed a notice stating that our itinerary changed due to hurricane Dean. Instead of Cozumel we would be diverted to Nassau, Bahamas. The lines moved quickly and we were on board by 1:00pm. I was traveling with my husband, and children ages 15 and 19. We all went up to the Lido for our welcome aboard umbrella drinks and to get a little lunch. The weather leaving Miami was beautiful. We were able to get into our cabin around 2pm although luggage did not arrive until closer to 3pm. No worries as our welcome aboard drinks kicked in and all was good.

Monday evening: We were on our way to Key West. We found the ship to be in good condition. Our room was an interior, Empress Deck cabin number 235. It was perfect for the four of us to sleep and dress in, that's about all we really needed it for. For this length cruise I would book this cabin again. The cabin itself was clean and the beds were comfortable. The bathroom was accommodating, clean and in good shape. We had dinner, explored the ship, hit the casino, karaoke'd and danced.
