This was our 2nd sailing on Grandeur of the Seas. The upgrades in bedding made during dry dock were definitely noticed by us. The beds when put together did not sag or have that gap - great for sleeping. Besides the bedding upgrades I really did not notice much change in the ship (oh yes, the dent is gone and they have placed new tiles around the hot tub area and Windjammer has had a face lift).
The weather was fairly nice - we had a very rough night right out of Baltimore but by 3:00 pm on the first sea day it seemed to settle down and the seas became alot calmer. We had beautiful weather in Bermuda and when we sailed away from Bermuda within an hour we were in another thunderstorm - thankfully this storm only lasted a few hours and not through the whole night as it did leaving Baltimore. The return trip at sea was very calm and weather was nice.
The food is typical for cruise lines - mass produced and usually arrives to your table luke warm. It was nothing to complain about but nothing to brag about either. Windjammer has had some upgrade done as well, although I think the new layout is a bit more confusing when they put robes up to close off certain areas, your basically blocked in and have to either go through the table sections to get to the food portions or go through the robes they put up to block you out/in.
