We took the Vancouver to Seward run in August. It was our second Alaska cruise (the first one was with HAL) and fourth cruise overall. We traveled with two adults and our two kids (15 and 11). Our grandmother also sailed with us but stayed in her own cabin.

We thought the cruise was absolutely outstanding. We loved nearly everything about it. The ship was big enough to be interesting but small enough be easy to find your way around. We were upgraded from a Junior Suite to a Grand Suite which was a nice surprise. While the cruise was completely sold out, the ship never felt crowded. The crew was great. Someone else on the board here has noted that the Captain is a hoot ... and he really is. The morning wake-up calls "wakey, wakey, wakey" and a "happy hurdy gurdy."

I will also admit that we were blessed with an astonishing 7 days of sunshine. Not a single day of rain the entire trip. They said it was a new record for the Ship's Alaska cruises.
