Just returned from a nice cruise on the Inspiration. The embarkation and debarkation was excellent. I wish I could use the Tampa port everytime. It went very smoothly and quickly. I arrived about 12 noon and went through boarding very quickly. If you have your documents handy and available you will not have any problems. There must have been 20-30 representatives working the counter to view and check documents. Next visit was to a nice lunch on the lido deck. All of my luggage arrived in a timely fashion. Opt for late seating because you can eat all day and not be ready for dinner at 5 or 6 pm. Dinner was extremely nice and plentiful. Keep in mind the Inspiration is an old ship in great condition. If you look in the corner for chipped paint, you may find it. It was cleaned all day and night. The employees work very hard to maintain and keep the ship clean. Yes, you may find a table with used plates, but someone will be right behind to clean and wipe the table for your need. I found that people who has gone on larger Carnival ships found the Inspiration to be very disappointing! They must think twice that a large ship cannot compare to a small ship. Let's use common sense! I had the cutest and best clean-up person (not sure of the name for the people who cleans and turn down your beds at night) his name was Johnson. Miss you Johnson. Always a pleasant smile, boy was he cute!!!! The ports were nice and sunny each day. We went to the beach on both days in port in Grand Cayman and Cozumel. I felt sorry for the people loading the ship once we docked because they had to be routed to other ports. The burgers were great on the Lido deck. The children seemed to use the jacuzzi was crowded with children the majority of the time, but at times they remained at one so the adults could use the other one. I believe the adults kindly told them no children which made sense. It was for adults only anyway. The food was great and the rooms were clean. I had an inside cabin which was spacious for me and my 8 yr old son. I recommend this ship if you are looking for something inexpensive and in great shape. I understand alot of the Fantasy ships will be getting refurbished with new waterparks (check the website for updates). Also our table was 260 in the Carnivale dining room. Service was great. Plenty to eat and as much as you could eat. If you go.... enjoy!! Remember, people will always find something to complain about. I enjoyed myself and would consider to travel on this ship again....
