Our family of five, including three children, 15, 13 and 6, sailed on the Star Princess on 31/7 to Baltics (the Warnemunde itinerary, rather than Oslo). This is our second cruise, having gone to Alaska with celebrity last summer.

I agree with other reviewers about the lack of information on the embarkation pier in Copenhagen. There was nothing on the cruise documents at all, and I was lucky because I had read a review where the member had been taken to a different pier and had to drag their luggage over 2 miles. We took a taxi from downtown Copenhagen, which ended up causing us $170K (around 25USD, I think), which I believe compares favorably with the train. If there are enough of you to fill a cab, I recommend taking it. We spent a total of three days in Copenhagen before and after and in hindsight it was probably a day too long.

Let's start with the ship. We decided to splurge and got mini-suites on the Dolphin deck, which were well worth the money. They were spacious with good closet space. The lack of shade in the balcony never bothered us. Our cabin attendant was excellent - and things were always in top shape. We asked for a pitcher of ice water from room service on the first day and it was refilled for us every day for the rest of the trip, which I thought was very thoughtful.
