Embarkment: Just got back from a 5 day cruise to Bermuda. This was family reunion with 27 people. We left from Cape Liberty on Sunday August 12th. Embarkment went smoothly. We got our SeaPass online before we got to the ship and it makes a difference in getting onto the ship. Got to our room by 1:00 and it was ready. Small, but adequate for me & my sister. (Hubby stayed home this trip). Luggage did not make it in time for dinner. We had a Promenade Room. I would have liked the room to get rid of one small couch and put in some drawers for clothes. They have very small ones, which are good for undergarments and bathing suits. The Ship: This is my 6th cruise to Bermuda. It's my favorite place. My first 5 cruises to Bermuda were on Celebrity. I also did a Carnival to Nova Scotia. The ship is beautiful, clean, lots of places to seat. Lots of places to have a drink or have a cup of coffee. Really enjoyed it. Entertainment: I only went to the Ice Show. MUST SEE!! It was spectacular. Our entire group went and we really enjoyed it. Make sure you get tickets. Staff: We had group organizer who was fantastic. We had a private cocktail party when we left Bermuda for NJ. It was lovely. He was just great. The wait staff were fine. Celebrity much more friendly. More willing to please. Always asking if you needed anything etc. Missed that. Food: A little disappointed. I should have not compare, but it's hard not to. The food on Celebrity was 10x better. I did have some decent meals on this trip. But the food was never hot enough. The selections were okay. I was hoping that in the dining room breakfast would change daily, it didn't. It was all the little extras that Celebrity does that RCL does not and it was very noticeable to me. The rest of the group, thought everything was great. I also disagree with paying $20.00 per person for another restaurant. The food should be just as good everywhere on the ship. The Windjammer buffet was fine. No trays. Food, not hot enough. Staff, okay. Also, I think the rules of no shorts in the dining room should be respected. Some people came from the pool!!! Destination: Bermuda to me is paradise. Spent 1st day at Tobacco Bay. Very crowded because 2 NCL ships also docked in St. George that morning. We still enjoyed our day there. On the 2nd day we went to Horseshoe Bay. It was wonderful. The weather was great for our entire trip. Hope to go back to Bermuda again next year. Disembarkment: Very easy, very smooth. Overall: We had a fantastic time together. Enjoyed our trip. 5 days is not long enough. Would not do another 5 day, not enough time. I would sail on this ship again, even though the food was not that great. I would rather Celebrity. Thanks, Theresa - Happy Cruising
