This was our second trip on the Grad Princess and it was better then the first. There were four teenager with my wife and I. We booked two inside cabins for the kids and a balcony stateroom for us. I highly recommend a balcony stateroom if you are cruising with friends. You will find that you will spends lots of time having cocktails before and after dinner. The ship was as beautiful as three years ago. It's kept spotless by the third shift crew that works during the night. We cruised the Western Caribbean for the 8th time. My wife and I have cruise about 16 times.

The ship stopped at a private island in the Bahamas on Monday. A great location for a fun day to play volley ball or just soak up the sun. Tuesday was a day at sea. Wednesday was Grand Caymen. This is not particular one of my favorite stops due to the traffic in town.Take a taxi to the beach or an excursion of snorkeling from the ship. Thursday was Costa Maya in the southern Yucatan, near Ambergrise Caye (Belize). There is a decent beach at the north side of the pier however, the day we were there, we had a problem getting access to the beach. Apparently the Mexicans were having some dispute on the right of way to the beach. Hopefully this issue will be resolved quickly or you will be stuck spending your entire day in the tourist trap shopping area that was built around the pier.Friday we stopped at Cozumel, Mexico. This is one of our favorite stops on the Western Caribbean tour.

I highly recommend renting a Jeep or scooter to get around. The cost of a Taxi, depending on which pier your at, will cost you more. Don't pay more then $35 for the entire day rental for the moped ,which includes insurance. Head the opposite direction from downtown and you will find numerous beaches and resorts. All the hotel will allow you to use their beaches/facilities however, some charge for chairs. Later in the day, head downtown to a local watering hole called Senor Frogs for an experience you wont forget. Saturday was a day at sea and a day of recuperation from partying at Senor Frogs. Little bit about the entertainment.
