We (I, wife, and four children) just returned from our wonderful trip on the Crown Princess. (Bermuda, St Thomas, San Juan, Grand Turk). We believe any vacation is what you make of it, and we always have a fun time together. However, in our opinion, this trip tops just about all others. The length of the cruise was perfect. We hade time to relax and really enjoy ourselves without having to worry that it was ending so soon, especially with a total of four sea days. The ship is absolutely gorgeous! There is so much woos on the ship, you feel as if you are in a building. The decorations are opulent without being glitzy as on the Carnival ships.

We had three cabins, all on the Lido deck, one balcony and two inside cabins. We enjoyed being on that deck so much; I don't think I can take a cabin anywhere else ever again. We were so close to the pools and the buffet, it was terrific. The only draw back is you are 8 or more decks away from the dining rooms, the shows and the shops. Beds are great - ask for the mattress cover/egg crate and you have a firm cushy bed. We usually can't wait to get home to our own bed, but this one was so comfortable we never felt that way. Closet space is great. Bathroom wasn't as small as we had read - not in our opinion anyway.

Our embarkation was so incredibly fast it was impossible to believe. We drove in from Suffolk County Long Island arriving at the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal around noon (I parked the car at exactly noon). We were on the ship before 12:30, and that was with the time it took to check in all six of us. We went straight to our cabins and dropped off the carry on stuff. Unfortunately, we did not think to pack swimsuits in our carry on baggage, and out luggage did not arrive until almost 8 in the evening. Oh well, we won't make that mistake again!
