Traveling Companions: My husband and I traveled with our best friends from college, we have been traveling together for 7 years. There were 3 couples in all. This was our 4th cruise, our 3rd with Carnival.

My DH and I flew in from Florida to Puerto Rico on Saturday, our friends were to fly in the next day from Alabama. We flew American Airlines on a direct flight which was very nice arriving in PR at 10am. There were no problems with our flight on both arrival and departure.

We stayed at the Caribe Hilton which was very nice, would have liked to stay there an extra day. The only disadvantage is that it is not within walking distance so we spent about $75 in cab fares between sat/sun. We went to Old San Juan and rented an electric car and drove around the city, we loved this as we watched many tourist sweating and walking long distances to see all the historical sites. We spent Sunday morning at the hotel: I laid by the beach while my husband snorkeled. (We brought our own snorkel gear which I highly recommend)
