My family of 17 arrived at the Queen Mary for early check-in we did this before 11:00 am as if it is after 11:00 you will have to check in at the Terminal which is near the Queen Mary. Everything went smooth took all in about 5 minutes to check our documents. We received Boarding Zone 1 which let us on between 12:00 and 12:30. My family and I were on before 12:30. After taking our pictures and walking the gang plank we were on our way to Lido Deck 9. Our rooms weren't ready till 1:30 with signs posted and Carnival Workers at the elevators. Lido deck Wow things were spread around so you have to walk around to find yourself something to eat. I found myself sometimes in a walking in circles to find my group again but gave me an excuse to find more to eat. Food was very good from Fresh fruit to the Grille inside where sandwiches are cooked to order. The Rueben is very good and so our the wraps they make each one to your request. Outside on the Lido deck was Mermaids Grille Hot Dogs ,Hamburgers, Minute Steak Sandwiches were also available as well as toppings for your food and of course French Fries.Ice cream is also at the Mermaid Grill as well as different stations on the Decks by the Bars. We walked to our Stateroom on Deck 5a where we met our Steward his name was Elberto he was very nice new my first name and always said Hello. We had an obstructed view with a Balcony with a Lifeboat but never bothered us. We were in the front of the life boat so I still was able to have a little bit of a view. Cabin was very comfortable with 3 in it, bathroom was small but plenty of ample space to put my belongings. The temperature in the room was fine and the beds they were so comfortable and the top blanket was so comfy I didn't have a complaint there slept great and late. We sailed out around 5:00 I walked up to the top deck and watched us say good bye to Long beach then it was time for Dinner at the Normandie.Dinners in the Normandie all I could say is they could use some improvement food was good but not great. My Filet Mignon was overcooked I could have sent it back but didn't bother. Steak and Chicken could use some improvement as well. I never tried anything else but I heard the Lobster was good and my family had Shrimp Cocktails everynite and enjoyed them. Dessert you have read about the Chocolate Melting Cake it is good but on the Menu Everynite so after the 3rd nite I tried something new. Baked Alaska was good which is on Friday no real complaints about the desserts. I think people were more casual as well on the cruise I had even seen people in Blue jeans allowed to enter the dinning room. Day 1 and 2 Sea Days people used the pool and the Waterslide which is opened form 11:00-5:00 on Sea Days and 3-5 on Port Days. Pools were nice not too crowded, Hot Tubs were crowded as the pools are Saltwater and a little cool. Just a quick note if you have little ones the decks can become SLICK and HOT so maybe have them wear a water shoe. Lounge chairs were hard to find unless you got out early to grab one. Shows all I could say is if have been on Carnival before shows are quite similar the only nite I really enjoyed the show was the Kyle Wayne which was Tuesday.Bingo is also played before the shows too I played once my brother won $200. I wasn't a late niter in bed by 11:00 or so I didn't go to any bars or Piano bars. First Port is Puerto Vallarta and it is HOT there so have a hat and a bottle water if you are going to walk anywhere. There is a Super Center Walmart and a Sam's Club if you forgot anything within n walking distance to ship. We did a Shore Excursion Sunset by Horseback cost $85pp and was well worth the trip. One hour long bus trip to a remote Mountain Village where there was horse's saddled up . We were given brief instructions and placed on the horse and led off for an hour Horseback ride. All I could say is Wow, we went through Rivers up to the Horses Belly thought I would be swept down Stream but the horse new exactly what to do. After Horseback we were given a BBQ meal it was Yummy Ribs, Chicken and all you care to drink. We all received a shot of tequila which was very good but for non drinkers they have soda or water to drink refills available. We then watched a young boy Lasso a Rope and some dancers very entertaining and then it was back to ship we arrived around 9:00 it was very well worth the money for this trip enjoy it if you go. Next day Mazatlan HOT we just went shopping at the Gold Zone you have to take a Taxi there thinks its about $10 or so. They have an Internet Cafe and you can make calls to the States for 75 cents a minute Internet is about $5.oo for 1/2 hour. It was hot so we headed back to the ship . Cabo was HOT we headed to the beach which is quite a walk so take the Water taxis they will drop you off at the beach. The beach is clean and a little cool but refreshing my girls did a Banana boat not through the ship but form a guy on a boat $10pp well worth it they had a blast gone for about 20 minutes .We took a Water Taxi $3pp to take us back to the Marina. Picked up a few Souvenirs and headed back to the ship since we left at 3:30pm . Shipped stopped 2x to pick up late passengers on the ferries. Cabo is so pretty wished we could have spent more time there. Each time we were the only Cruise Ships in Port which made it feel not to crowded which was nice. Another sea day spent time at the pools a little cool heading back to Long beach saw people with lite Jackets on the weather or then that was nice. Packed that nite placed our Luggage out by 10:00 and headed off to sleep since it was an early morning the next day. Debarkation some people were off the ship by 7:30 those who had early flights we lived near there so we waited to have our Color Called so we ate in the Dinning room since it would be a little relaxed. It was a little slow next time I will go to Lido Deck to eat and wait. The ship called our Color at around 11:00 or so so we headed off to the gang Plank where there was another line to get off. Customs took awhile to get through they had 6 lines but Moved very slow. Once we got through Luggage was easy to find they are in your color group. We found a taxi to take us 10 minutes to our cars at my parents condo we where home by around 1:00pm. All in all it was a very smooth trip no real complaints.
