WARNING: THIS IS A LONG REVIEW! My family (includes 2 teenagers) and I were on the Carnival Freedom on the July 12, 2007 sailing to Rome, Naples, Rhodes, Izmir, Istanbul, Athens, Katakalon, and Florence.

SHIP:

Embarkation was a breeze. We arrived at approx. 1 pm via private transportation that I shared with another cruisecritic.com member. As soon as we arrived at the dock, our bags were quickly taken and we were directed to the terminal for check-in. Check-in was handled very quickly (within a matter of minutes) and we then boarded the ship.
