Dawn Princess July 20-30, 2007 SF to Alaska

About me: this was my fifth Princess cruise, my third cruise to Alaska, and my eleventh cruise overall. I was traveling with my sister and my parents. We booked our cruise through a local agency that chartered buses to take us to and from the pier in San Francisco.

Embarkation: Our bus arrived at the pier at around 1:00 p.m. A Princess representative boarded the bus, handed out a health form and then OK'd us to proceed to check-in. My mother needed wheel chair assistance which came right away. My sister and I proceeded with the other passengers outside and around and back into the cruise terminal. Since my sister is a Platinum Captain Circle member we were able to proceed directly to the Platinum Express check-in. There was no line and we were on board by 1:30 p.m. Read more
