Sail Date: Jul 2007

Just returned from our nine day cruise on the Crown to the Caribbean and Bermuda. My sister and I are both females in our twenties, and we traveled with our parents. We stayed on the eighth floor in a standard outside room, and they stayed two decks higher with a balcony. Previously, we have been on nine Celebrity cruises. We love Celebrity and only switched because we had various obligations this summer that made the sailing dates impossible for us. This was our first nine day cruise--we had only done week-long before.

I have read many reviews on this site, so I was expecting pretty good food, a lovely ship, and mediocre service--happy to be wrong about the last one.

TRAVEL AND EMBARKATION We live in Queens, so we just drove to the ship. We had done a practice run, so it went fairly smoothly. a bit of traffic around 1 pm. We heard others complaining about getting lost. We love being able to just drive over, park, and walk onto the ship. We're so spoiled, we might never take another cruise that doesn't leave from NY!
